On the special night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the moon in the sky was especially round and bright. It reminded me of the old days when my family would gather together to celebrate this traditional Chinese festival.
As a Chinese person, Mid-Autumn Festival is always an important holiday for me. I still remember when I was a child, my parents would buy mooncakes and fresh fruits, and we would have a big family dinner. After dinner, we would light up lanterns and enjoy the scenery under the bright moon.
However, this year is different. I am studying in the United States, and far away from my family. I won’t be able to sit around the dinner table with them, but I still want to celebrate this special night. So, I decided to invite some of my American friends to join me in celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival. I introduced the traditions and we enjoyed mooncakes and tea together. I was thrilled to see that my American friends were also fascinated by the traditional Chinese festival.
On this special night, I felt proud of my cultural heritage. Although I am far away from home, I can still share my culture and pass on the traditions to others. I think this is the true spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival, to connect people from different cultures and spread love and joy.
Overall, the Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a festival for Chinese people, but also an important occasion for people all over the world to learn about Chinese culture. I hope more people will join in the celebration and experience the charm of traditional Chinese festivals.
